Happy Easter!

Happy Easter everyone! Whether you’re religious or not, I hope you spent today with people that matter (and ate your bodyweight in chocolate and roast dinner). I certainly did! As well as an array of chocolate goodies, I was spoiled and got some money (including some Euros towards my interrailing trip) – as well as already having had my room decorated by Mum as a surprise!

Being the big kid that I am, I love Easter. I’m a big fan of the Easter bunny and used to take great delight in hunting round the house for eggs that had been hidden all around (unless the cat got to them first – she used to love anything shiny and had a habit of patting them until they rolled under some furniture where you could no longer reach them!). I say IĀ used to love,Ā but actually I have a confession. I’m 21 years old and this morning I walked into our living room to find that Mum had hidden up lots of eggs and I thoroughly enjoyed clambering about in my PJs and dressing gown to collect them all in a little bag, like a huge big kid.

Easter 2013 (3) Easter 2013 (1)

I refused to have a picture of me in my dressing gown and PJs with bed hair, collecting up Easter eggs – much to Mum’s disappointment, so you’ll just have to take my word for it that I was as enthusiastic (although maybe slightly less cute) as I was when I was 5years old and doing the same thing!

We spent the day at my Nanny and Grandad’s where I enjoyed a huge portion of roast lamb done with apricot, mint and ginger glaze (mmmmm). Been so long since I had a roast, and especially lamb.

Well done to everyone who gave up bits for lent this year, I have done in the past but since I’ve been writing this every day and sticking to that, I didn’t want to take on too much!

I’ve just realised as I’m writing this that it’s the last day of March and this is therefore meant to be my summary of the month and all the things I’ve achieved to help with my aim of making 2013 the best year yet – but since it’s Easter I’ll delay it until tomorrow!

Until Tomorrow,

Me and my Dad šŸ™‚

Today we booked our flights home from Milan for our interrailing trip. Which is pretty exciting; it’s all getting very real now!!

I’ve also almost completed my 10 days of biking, I’m definitely better at sticking to things if I have people holding me accountable! I’m too stubborn to give up! Going to have to start posting new challenges on here more often.

Until Tomorrow,

M x
