One of my favourite spots in Norfolk, and you can see why when it’s this beautiful in the Winter. Lovely day today with Mum and seeing my Grandparents and Nikki.
They say a picture speaks a 1000 words and there’s 3 here so I’ll leave it there!
Until Tomorrow,

Monster’s University & a 7am tea party

So I’m thrilled to say that I managed to wear Nikki down into coming and seeing Monster’s University with me at the cinema in 3D. And boy was it worth it. I realise I am 21 and probably shouldn’t be quite so excited about a kid’s film, but I was a big fan of Monsters Inc as a child and had high hopes for this prequel!

It was a.w.e.s.o.m.e. Every bit as good as the first and I have no shame in saying I welled up several times (I will note that I didn’t actually cry as no tears left my eyes, just so I can retain some dignity!). Totally worth seeing and one of those films I feel that if you saw again there’d be a whole heap of things going on in the background and at the sides that you didn’t notice first time round. The detail in everything was just so rich and colourful and I felt they actually made good use of the 3D.

Apart from that my day has been quite uneventful, I went for a run and spent the first hour of my morning looking a bit crazy but that’s about it! It all started this morning when Mum woke me up before 7am to tell me that the cute cat from next door had a mouse in our garden. So I went to my window to have a look. Then felt bad for the poor mouse so wrapped up in my dressing gown to go and intervene. Unfortunately as I got closer the cat threw the mouse up in the air and across the garden and ran off. Assuming the mouse would be dead I went to move it to the side, only to find the poor thing was a teeny tiny baby shrew and was scared witless but still breathing and relatively unscathed considering. So after putting down a selection of nibbles (I wasn’t sure what baby shrews eat, so thought I’d cover all bases for its breakfast!) I guided it to the relatively safety (or so I thought) of the edge of the garden and nipped in to put clothes on because I’d started to look a bit deranged sat on the lawn having a miniature tea party at 7am with a baby shrew… Now when I left it there had been no sign of the cat for a good half hour. Unfortunately in the 5 mins it took me to change indoors the cat obviously sneaked back and had one final swing at poor baby shrew which I presume tipped him and his little heart over the edge – I found him on his back, toes in the air :(. So that was the end of my Dr Doolittle encounter this morning.

Countryside vs City Life

Been revising allll day since first thing this morning but these two modules just will not go in and stay in. I’m admitting defeat for this evening and hoping that tomorrow my brain decides it fancies letting some of this info in!

The weather here has been grim today. So cold, and has been raininggggg and windy all day; it’s obviously saving the sunshine up for after I finish my exams on FRIDAY!

Made the mistake of looking at Ticketmaster earlier; mistake! So many gigs I’d like to go to. I think the music scene is possibly the only thing that could convince me to live in London for a year or two. There are so many incredible upcoming artists playing small, start up shows that I’d like to see but can’t justify paying £20 train fare plus accommodation for the night to see them. :(. I wouldn’t mind living in London for a year, maybe 2, but I think at heart I’ll always be a country girl. I quite like the compromise of being in a small city like Norwich or Exeter where there’s countryside and seaside nearby and the city’s big enough to have stuff going on, but not so big that you don’t feel okay walking round at night on your own.

Anyway another early night/early start for me,

Until Tomorrow,

Llamas and Mythical Woods

So today has been pretty hectic. I got up early first thing and spent all morning and most of the afternoon doing stats work (yawn). Then met up with a friend I haven’t seen in way too long! We went out the back roads behind my house to try and find these small woods with a stream. I’ve been there a few times over the years, but I can never remember how to get there. And today was no exception! We walked for over 2 and a half hours, but apparently the wrong way as the woods were nowhere to be found (though we did see some really sweet deer) – maybe next time!

Went out this evening for a meal (yes another one!!) with Nanny and Grandad and Mum. Which was lovelyyyy but now I’m so full and sleepy!

So I’m leaving you with a couple of random pictures from my day,

Beccles

So I’m lucky enough to have had dinner looking out over this gorgeous view. Such a nice day. Never really been round Beccles so went for a walk round there this afternoon followed by a lovely meal with this stunning view. Also managed to get the bulk of writing for my lab report done. Just tweaking and references to finish up now. All in all, what I call a very successful day. Here’s hoping this weather continues tomorrow.

Until Tomorrow,

Ps. This is the second time I’ve written today’s post, this app handily decided to delete my last version whilst uploading!
